Hi Brad! Thanks for the great blog! By the way I love the picture of a old man drinking whiskey and smoking and I wonder if I could use it in my school project about the alcohol use of older people. Do you have it`s rights or do you know where it`s orginal is? Thanks a lot!

Hey Seth - I hear you about getting at that last lb of lower stomach fat - that's the worst for us guys. Yah, I'd definitely recommend at least amino acids (that way you can still be pretty much calorie-free going into the cardio session)...especially if you're prone to muscle loss while training for fat loss (like I am). If you're a naturally buff mesomorph, then it's not as big of a deal. Also, make sure post-workout you're getting a carb:protein drink asap - this will help build muscle mass and prevent muscle breakdown. I'll do a post on this coming up, as it can get pretty technical in terms of ratio of carbs:protein and timing, etc.

Hope these tips help you bust through that plateau.

Brad

Thanks for the outstanding article. I have been doing the empty stomach cardio as well as lift weights after cardio! No wonder I could not get the last 1 pound of fat that is hiding my lower abs! I am changing the routine from tomorrow

Thank you again for the education.

Hi Shaun - It's a pretty inspiring pic for sure haha. Yah, the only supplements I generally use are creatine, whey protein, multivitamin, fish oil and occasionally BCAA's....although I haven't used creatine as of lately, mostly due to laziness (haven't gotten around to ordering it for a while).

Thanks for stopping by man.

Man I love that Pic! The part about doing cardio after weight lifting make so much sense. I think the amino acids are also very important to building the muscles, but do you think its a good idea to add some creatine in the mix as well?
