Hi Brad,

Looking at the Prograde Protein, I noticed the maker states that it slows down carb intake so your insuline levels do not spike. From experience, I am positive that any post workout shake should have enough simple carbs to spike your insulin levels therefore getting your body out of muscle eating phase and into muscle building phase. Prograde looks like a good supplement but how can use it with carbs?

Brad, What do you know about MaxMuscle products? I'm a bodybuilder and like you I have tried everything over the past 20 years which I agree is mostly crap! I have been researching Prograde and about to give it a shot. Looks like they have 3 different kinds of protein. Standard, Lean, and Pre/Post. Understand about the pre/post (no-brainer), but guess you can use lean or standard for meal repleacement. Trying to cut (lose fat), so I guess lean would be the way to go but both look good. Recommendations?

Hey Mark, I like to have both on hand b/c sometimes I just want the protein without carbs, whereas the "workout" version will have carbs as well and therefore is best taken right before and right after your workouts (but not so much at other times of the day). If this is all you wish to use it for, then you could definitely get by with just the Prograde workout-- just shoot for at least 25 grams of protein post workout to ensure max lean muscle building.

Hi Brad, I've got a question about the Prograde products. So one would use the Prograde Workout shake to help with recovery yes. Why would one then need to consume the Prograde protein powder as well? Does the Workout shake not have enough protein to help build muscles?
