An Extreme Weight Loss Diet Plan…by Brad Campbell
How’s everyone? Chillin’? Me too. Okay, one of the most common questions I’m asked from new TopFatLossTrainer readers is how to best implement the whole cheat day/fast day diet plan. After reading up on those posts, they understand the WHY, but might have some preferences of circumstances where they’d prefer a modified approach.
Basically, they still want an extreme weight loss diet that offers excellent fat burning results, but may not be suited for an all out cheat day…or may not feel like tackling an all out fast the following day. That’s totally understandable…
So the past couple of weeks I’ve been doing my research trying to find another weight loss diet plan that still uses the advanced caloric zig-zagging approach, but in a more moderate manner. Most of what I found was complete garbage and there’s no way anyone could survive on these highly-deprived fad diets.
I did find one that’s certified, however. It’s called The Every Other Day Diet and is authored by a pretty well-known fitness buff, John Benson. As you can probably tell from the name, this diet capitalizes on periods of interval eating and planned variances. Sounds like my workouts, huh?
The plan calls for burn days, where you’re eating at a caloric deficit (although not a total fast) and feed days, where you’re allowed to indulge on your favorite foods (just not all out like with the true cheat day approach).
This is exactly what a lot of my readers were looking for – a diet approach that manipulates metabolism by preventing the body from entering anti-starvation mode, despite maintaining an overall weekly caloric deficit that aggressively attacks stubborn fat stores.
So you’re using that same killer (calorie cycling) strategy to achieve weight loss, but without having to go full boar with a total cheat and fast day each week.
The EODD has three variations to choose from: a primer phase, a maintenance phase and of course, the “daddy mack” extreme weight loss phase. There’s tons of great content and cool bonuses, but I’m not going to get into all of that.
For now, just wanted to tell you about this option… just in case you didn’t like the idea of an all-out cheat and fast day dieting protocol (see below for more info)…
