Top Weight Loss Supplements… by Brad Campbell
Question time: “Brad, what are the top weight loss supplements you recommend?”
If I had a quarter for every time I’ve been asked that question, I’d wipe my nose with hundreds, LOL…
It’s a fair question though, since everyone pretty much wonders it at one time or another during their weight loss quest.
First, some disclaimers: even though I’m a pharmacist, on this blog I’m only serving as your Coach/Trainer… so don’t say “my online pharmacist, Dr. Brad, told me X, Y and Z…”
That sounds a little sketchy, plus my pharmacist insurance unfortunately doesn’t allow me to “play” pharmacist over the Internet… bummer.
Second, and as obvious as this may sound, NO weight loss supplements will do much good — if any — without taking ‘em in combination with a top notch diet and workout routine.
So don’t think you’re about to discover the weight loss “magic bullet” because there ain’t one. Another bummer.
Lastly, it’s always good to check with your doctor before adding any supplements to your overall weight loss program.
Okay, legalities aside, let’s discuss the top weight loss supplements I’d recommend to average, healthy clients who’re already following a top level diet and workout plan that’s ideal for losing weight…
Top Weight Loss Supplements Revealed:
I tried to make that all suspenseful and exciting… I may have failed. ;-)
Surprisingly, the best weight loss supplements, in general, are those that allow your body to function at an optimal level — meaning, I’m not going to list 20 random fat burners with clever names and $90 price tags… just to have you go waste your money and put your heart at risk of developing A-fib.
What I’d suggest is simple. First, before you do anything else, find a supplement company that you can trust. As I’ve said in many other posts, that company for me, is Prograde. And yes, I’m a partner because I believe in their supplements and use them myself.
K, next, I’d recommend that (almost) everyone would benefit from taking a high quality multivitamin, along with a fish oil supplement. These two supplements are pretty much staples in my opinion.
No one I know is getting anywhere near the quantity — or variety — of veggies and fruits that they’d need to take in on a daily basis to supply their body with the RDA of all those essential vitamins and minerals…
… which is why you need to be taking a daily multivitamin. I take 2-3 per day, for insurance…
Slightly more specific to weight loss, a top fish oil supplement may actually help to promote fat loss by helping to stabilize blood sugars. And that’s just cherries on top, because fish oil is outstanding for your heart and arteries… it’s great for your joints… awesome for your skin… helps to prevent issues down the road with eyesight… and so on…
Also helpful for weight loss, would be whey protein. I know, I know… you’re thinking that’s strictly for building muscle — but remember, muscle is important for raising your metabolism around the clock and can be a huge factor in how quickly you’re able to lose weight.
Plus, it’s the ONLY thing that can shape and improve your physique (weight loss alone will just make you a smaller version of your current self… and in the end, you may still be unhappy with your proportions).
I’d list creatine, glutamine and BCAAs as optional when discussing the best weight loss supplements. All three can be very beneficial in helping you to preserve that precious lean body mass we just talked about, while going about your fat loss business…
Personally, I cycle the use of all three.
Okay, so let’s get to the good stuff — the supplements that are actually created to help you lose weight fast. Like I said earlier… and I hate to let ya down… but there just isn’t much I’d feel good about listing here, in terms of the top weight loss pills.
Any stimulant could help you facilitate your weight loss efforts. BUT, any stimulant will also have side effects — and I don’t like side effects that affect the heart. I’m not saying that the right person couldn’t benefit from something like this… I’m just saying that it’s a case by case basis, and I can’t give a general recommendation that most people should use a powerful stimulant.
In fact, most people would NOT be good candidates. I’ll say that.
Don’t give up on me just yet — there is one top, metabolism-boosting weight loss aid that you can check out…
Appropriately named METABOLISM, this particular weight loss supplement was thoroughly researched and carefully created using a powerful blend of some of the most well-known (and safest) metabolism-revving ingredients available.
Yes, it’ll still have a mild stimulant effect, since it does contain caffeine — but it doesn’t have the harsh, more extreme, “give-you-the-shakes” kind of crap that make up the majority of the more dangerous, mainstream fat burners.

Hope that helps answer that question… and it should give you some perspective into what’s important and why… as well as what to watch out for when considering adding supplements to your weight loss program.
Take care everyone. Talk to you in the next post.
Your Coach,
Brad Campbell
