I was just watching an episode of the Kardashians last night, the one where Kim and Kourtney are in New York (okay, don’t judge me, I like lame TV sometimes). Anyway, Kim was turning 30 and man you would have thought the world was coming to an end.
I liked when her sister said it was like she thought she would turn into an evil troll at the stroke of midnight. Here’s the thing about that, 30 is not all bad.
In fact, 30 is pretty awesome... I recently turned 31 a little over a month ago and from age 30 until now I can tell you that I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m more focused and I’ve developed the ultimate system to fight off the evil signs of aging.
It’s actually not that hard. I’m not looking to lose weight really, it’s more about losing the right kind of weight which is of course fat. So here are my ultimate weight and fat loss tips for women over 30...
1. Eat, eat, eat: Boost your metabolism with 5-6 small meals per day. Include lots of protein, veggies, fruit, nuts and some whole grains (limit these to the days that you’re training... more on this later).
2. Sleep: I get 7-8 hours of sleep per night and that’s perfect for me. I mean, I could sleep more but the idea is to go to sleep and then wake up about the same time every day. Getting great sleep helps to recover those tired muscles and is also amazing for your skin.
